APRIL International has introduced its latest innovation, the Easy Pay Card, for clients of its UK business, following a successful launch in other markets last year. The card has been used in over 50 countries since its launch and in France, it has won prestigious awards for digital innovation in personal insurance services from organisations including the Argus de l’assurance and Cas d'Or Banque Assurance.
Specifically designed for its internationally mobile individuals, the Easy Pay Card allows policyholders to cover their pre-authorised medical expenses above £500, without using their own funds and seeking reimbursement. Whether members are receiving treatment in Europe, Asia, Africa or the Middle East, this new solution provides them with the financial freedom and security to access medical treatment easily.
Commenting on the launch, Joe Thomas, Managing Director of APRIL International UK, said:
“Our policyholders appreciate the independence and reassurance of having funds available to cover their medical care. The Easy Pay Card gives them complete control, without relying on their own credit or debit cards. While it doesn’t replace reimbursements for smaller treatments, it bridges the gap between minor costs and more complex cases. This innovative solution offers members a personalised line of credit on their virtual card, allowing them to manage their healthcare with greater ease and confidence.”
Policyholders now need to simply contact APRIL International UK and provide a brief description of their diagnosis or symptoms, treatment details and estimated costs. The claim will be reviewed within 3 working days and once approved, the card will be issued and pre-loaded with the funds needed to pay for the treatment.
The card can be added to a digital wallet and used like any other standard virtual card. It imposes no upper limit on payments, allowing full flexibility for a wide range of medical expenses. Backed by Visa, the card ensures coverage for medical care, wherever policyholders may be.
The Easy Pay Card complements APRIL International’s increasingly digital range of solutions designed to cover healthcare access abroad. These include telehealth services for remote medical consultations, and the Easy Claim app, which is also to be rolled out to the UK. The app will offer a quick and efficient pay-and-claim service for routine medical treatments.
This latest launch marks the next step in the APRIL Group’s ongoing strategy to enhance its digital offerings and accelerate its international growth. APRIL International continues to strengthen its position as an award-winning leader in international health insurance, providing peace of mind and financial flexibility to policyholders worldwide.
Joe Thomas commented:
“We’re committed to leveraging digital technology to improve the customer experience, and the Easy Pay Card is another step in making healthcare as seamless as possible for our members around the world.”
